Voucher Solutions Childcare Vouchers
The Government has launched a 10 Year strategy to expand quality childcare
provision. Recognising the importance of childcare to the UK economy,
new income tax and national insurance exemptions will make employer
support for childcare easier and worth more.
The new childcare exemptions mean that:
- Employees pay neither income tax nor National
Insurance Contributions on the support
- Employers pay no National Insurance Contributions
on the support
For example - a parent given £55 of support a week (£243 per month) after taking
an equivalent salary sacrifice saves between £904 - £1,196
per year as they pay no tax and NIC on the amount of support they
receive. The Employers own NIC savings will be around £300.
We work with you to ensure the support we offer is tailored to your
needs. We can provide practical support to your HR team in the form
of:
- Amendment to contract templates
- Draft Policy statements
- Draft Staff letters
- A range of support material to publicise the scheme
We recognise the importance your payroll team plays in introducing
the scheme too. We can provide practical support for this team in
the form of:
- Draft Inland Revenue Notification Letters
- Administrative support
- Sending the vouchers direct to employees
Approved Nurseries throughout the UK accept your employee's child
care voucher as payment. Your staff will be sent vouchers to the value
of their salary sacrifice, alternatively, you may opt for on-line
methods of delivery. You may, of course, wish to include a voucher
with the salary advice - the choice is yours.
